Bevan's adaptation of the WIA Broadcast via video.

Streaming Bevan's show via 70cm HD DATV.

Sunday evening WIA News broadcast.

The National WIA News has been put to video each week by Bevan, VK5BD and distributed via various methods, to be used by the wider amateur radio community for their viewing pleasure.

Each Sunday night, Bevan produces a show, starting at 7pm local on the VK5RDC DATV repeater. Content includes both the WIA News video along with local weather forecasts and usually a further video or two of interest. The show concludes around 8pm, followed by video callbacks and local 2m repeater callbacks.

The broadcast is taken off air live and streamed from SkyVisionSA in Whyalla, by Roger, VK5YYY. This stream allows me to take VK5RDC's output and broadcast it in HD DVB-T on 445.5MHz locally. This allows viewers, both amateurs and non-amateurs alike, to view the full show in its entirety, with minimal delay. Callbacks by local amateurs on the VK5RLH linked repeater system, can be given after the local VK5RMN callbacks - conditions permitting. This allows opportunity for feedback to the broadcast live!
