This unit is fully programmable and is supplied with APK software on DVD and a USB UART dongle.

Bandwidth: 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8 MHz, FFT: 2k, 4k or 8k, Code Rate: 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, Guard Interval 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 or 1/32.
Most settings are configured by attaching a pc/laptop with the supplied dongle. The program is run and access to the encoder is now over the UART dongle. Firstly connect and load current settings from the encoder. Change frequency, bandwidth, constellation,FFT, Code Rate,Guard Interval, RF attenuator level settings. Click Set the configuration button and changes occur. The settings can, obviously, be saved to your PC and therefore, can be re-called and loaded again. The output begins in a slow, ramped(stepped) output. Not a sudden full on - rather, output is at a controlled rate.
